Re: Digital camera
We have had a string of brilliant Lumix's that died of overuse and dusty roads.
We recently bought a TZ60. It is incredible. Its expensive but worth it.
The zoom is 30x optical, it has a manual focus (for photographing through fences and foliage) and the real clincher is the viewfinder. It is great for use in very bright conditions and is fantastic for following subjects.
A parachute jump in Normany this year.
The same plane taken about 30 seconds later.

Re: Digital camera
I must admit I can't fault any of the Panasonic Lumix kit. The TZ range is great, fantastic zoom and great pics. I however prefer the FT range. Had the FT1 and broke it trying to body board and take pictures then bought the FT4. Goes everywhere with me, waterproof and drop proof so no need to worry which pocket it goes in or when you get it out to take a picture. If on a budget I have heard good things about the FT25. Hears some pics from my FT4 taken at the weekend.
