Sunday May 6th Scottish ABR Meet - Aberfeldy & Forest Drive

Right then Scottish ABR's .. I am organizing a day meet and would like as many people as possible to attend ..

It's only a Day meet so no need fors tents etc .. Just get on your bike and meet , no fancy cafe's but in the true spirit of Adventure Bike riders , its bring a packed lunch.. :blink: or if you prefer soup :laugh: bring a flask.. or bring your stove for a fresh brew..

The meeting point will be Aberfeldy , Car park behind Petrol Station. Cant really miss it as there is only one petrol station in Aberfeldy.. Meeting at approx. 12noon- 1230
I have chosen this meeting point as it is closer to the central belt so we could get more people involved..

When everyone has arrived we will head off down loch Tay then down A84/A85 to the dukes pass to the forest drive at Achray Forest Drive .. approx 50 miles from Aberfeldy.

This forest drive is a 7.5 mile (legal £2 toll very easy) drive into the forest , where we will will stop for Lunch in the woods. Finish the forest drive, and either turn around and do it in the other direction or head off home..

If you do not fancy the forest drive , fine... you are most welcome to come along for to the meet point and join the group for the road sections ..


If the weather is pissing down then might think again on the forest drive but , its Scotland , you never really know what it is going to do !

Sadly, no. Off to do Ullapool and round the north coast. But the idea is great and look forward to more trips like this.

Well, I'm off that weekend and Fiona might be available, hope the weather's good as we might just make it!

We'll do the offroad drive. Unsure which bike though as the bloody Tiger's going back to Triumph,,, again.
