Get the breathalyser kit on the ferry though, as the French limit is lower than ours !

Yes, should have said not to spend loads on an Amazon electronic breathalyser as it doesn't conform with French regs.

In France you also need to carry your log book, insurance and spare bulbs and ride with your headlight on at all times.

Speed cameras are no longer advertised, red bordered signs with a town or village name are the start of the 50kph zone and watch out for 'priorite a droite'. Take care on big roundabouts. Using GPS with speed camera data is also illegal.

Thanks for your replys. I know there's lot's of s**t going on in europe for bikes/biker's but still worth asking knowledge people. We're going in June so no need for a breatherlyser. Can't understand that one if you have a drink don't drive/ride simple!

Last I heard the breathaliser only applied to the French, is this confirmed to apply to foreign vehicles? As its uncommon in other EU countries it's kinda hard to enforce!
I am sure it will be as respected by bikers as the bulb kit. I have never carried spare bulbs in all my years of riding in France.
