Hurry up October.
Whilst the UK is bathed in cold autumn drizzle I'll be thinking of you all as I land in LA (and pick up the bike) with just a t-shirt, leather waistcoat, jeans, shades, stick on beard and tats and take the lazy route up to Yosemite and back down to the coast at San Francisco. California dreaming here I come – just booked it.
Anyone else packing in a trip before the new year?

Re:Where next?
Spending the weekend visiting the other halfs' friends and relations in Devon, which will mean a lot of B-road riding and she will be guiding me across the lesser known moorland routes, just hope I can keep up.

Re:Where next?
Nowt exotic, but we're off to Dartmoor & Cornwall in a couple of weeks for a mini tour, assuming the south west is still above sea level by then.
Just ordered my Touratech windscreen wipers and snorkel attachment.

Re:Where next?
I've just planned out a trip down to the Jurrasic coast with a few mates in October.
Probably take a few hours off and visit Montagues museum.
2 or 3 nights on the piss with a few good mates, followed by curry.
I'm not jealous.

Re:Where next?
Off down to Italy(Verona) in a weeks time just for the weekend and then at the end of October off for a bit of camping in Germany (Heidleburg) for four days to the Hubb meeting, must be mad but be a bit of fun.

Re:Where next?
Just been looking at an old map of Corsica! Been there twice but in the crotchet rocket days. Just noticed all the 4x4 tracks on the Island.
Think I will have a few days at the end of September and explore?
Any one know a biker friendly place to stay?

Just come back from a week down there. It was shut! I never understood what people meant when they said that in the past. Well now I do! The weather was great though - horizontal rain one day, 50m visibility sea fog the next and then back to the rain.
Went down to Lands End as I'd never seen it before. The fog was so thick I still haven't seen it. I could hear the sea but that was it.

Nice one Alun,im jealous..good for you, sounds like its gonna be a cracking trip,
As for the Autumn cold and drizzle..we have had that here in Wales,(and most of the western half of the UK i suspect)
since july..the usual ''summer''(ha ha)washout..september and the first half of october are often far better belive it or not,i hope that will be the case this year,
Im off to south east France on the 12th sept,a week and a half in total, looking forward to it and hopefully lots of lovely sun, planning to get to the Col de la Bonette near the Italian border, and Mont Ventoux, been up there 3 times previously, recommended,
Wherever you are going this autumn, have a great time and enjoy.
