Nope - ride mine every day - gets a clean when I have time, and if the weather is good enough to clean the bike... it's good enough to be riding it. However I do give it full visual inspections at least twice a week, which is likely to be a lot more than the poseon'emeverysunnysundayforthreemonthsandparkituptherestofthetimeatthebackofthegarage lot do ;)

Possibly. But if you have time to actually do it you aren't riding your bike enough.

Pay thousands for a bike then let it devalue for the sake of a few minutes to wash it?

ERm....no. I don't think I've cleaned any of my bikes this year....so far. GS will get cleaned soon-ish. Well, the thought keeps flickering to the front of my head. Though that's as far as it's got.
