Cheap cot bed
Hi all, just thought some of you might be interested in this cot bed on ebay.At the price I thought it would be worth a punt and used it for 3 nights camping at the taffy Dakar. It's slightly larger than a thermorest self inflating mat packed down and heavier but I personally found it more comfortable and it keeps you off the cold ground. It takes a few minutes to assemble and would probably become a nuisance if you are moving on every day but for a Base Camp it's ideal.

Re: Cheap cot bed
Just got one last week looks the buisness and far more comfy than a mat, though it needs a bit of strong arming to assemble (thumbs)
Re: Cheap cot bed
Got one after my Thermarest started to join together at the ribs.
Heavy, bulky and takes a few minutes to put together.
Recently used it for a 10 day trip.
When laying on it my shoulders and hips touched the ground, not a comfortable nights sleep.
It's now in 'storage' as it's been replaces bt a Robens infaltable mat, 90mm thick and very comfortable. Packs down small and blows up in seconds. The mat and compressor together are les bulky and lighter than the cot.
Result.
PS the Robens mat was quite esxpensive tho.
