Post by spasm »

well this might ruin a lot of bikers having fun, unless you stay in the limit everywhere all of the time :(

So 71mph on the motorway and you hand over half a week wages, this has to be the best money making scheme ever.
Get the cameras out and they will catch 100,000 people on the first day.

Given i'm facing redundancy on the 22nd, 1/2 a weeks wages on the 24th will be half what ever the dole pays out these days i guess!

Didnt think speed cameras were that accurate or for that matter are most speedo's, will be interesting when you get a fine for being 1 mph over.....you would challenge it wouldn't you ?

My speedo shows 76 mph when my gps shows 70, if it was the other way round i would be in trouble !

It appears to me it's only the punishment that has changed. If the speed limit is 70mph it stands to reason that technically you could always have been prosecuted for doing 71mph.They can hardly say the speed limit is 70mph but we'll let you off if you're doing less than 79mph.

Yeah, that's how I read it too.

The thought of everyone driving round staring at their speedos rather than the roads terrifies me!!
