Schubert E1 / Shoei X2 Hornet

Anyone owned or used both lids? Varying opinion from reviews and dealers in regards to which helmet is the quietest, has the least buffeting and peak vibration. Only 3 criteria I need to get clarity on. Both high end, fit well, comfortable etc. Thanks

been looking at helmets myself recently had it down to two either the Shoei Hornet or the Arai Tour x4
Managed to try both on yesterday and I found that the fit was better on the Arai and it was also a lot more comfortable.it also looked and felt like a better quality helmet.
The Arai is a bit more expensive than the shoei so need to shop around to find the deal I need. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I didn't consider the Schubert the only reason for that is the that I really do not like flip front helmets

I've got the Schuberth E1 and love it.
Set up the peak to give just the right balance.
I don't get much buffet at all and it's pretty quiet.
Notice a bit of buffet when there is a cross wind, but nothing onerous.
The E1 whilst a flip does not have the ride open certification.

It is a lovely lid!

My only reservation with it, is that the peak is quite weak and wobbles if the wind catches it wrongly.

Its great for most things - but I use my lid to tour with - and if I'm doing a long day - I absolutely have to take the peak off - if the wind hits it at the right speed and angle - it can almost vibrate! It should have been a bit more rigid - and the locking mech isn't quite perfect...
