You may all know of this program already but thought it was worth a quick mention for those who havent seen it yet.

After losing my disk for Garmins Trip and Waypoint program I was after an easy and cheap program for route planning. I came across this program which is free to download from http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/index.php

Its called Trace Your Route Everywhere and basically it uses Google maps and Google Earth to plan your route which is then saved as a GPX file. You can then send this file to your GPS to create ready to go routes for you to follow.

There is a feature on Google maps to send to a GPS but I have found this unreliable and plugins for Firefox were too complicated to use. TYRE is a nice easy way to plan your next route and I reccomend it to anyone.
