Arriving soon. FUEL CARRIER

Post by Road2Manchester »

Just ordered a couple of samples of this fuel container with mounting bracket.

I will do a fuel report ( get it ? Fuel Report !!!! see what I did there). :(

Once they arrive. RRP around £20 .

Comments please. (not about the pun !)

Looking at 100 pcs imports unless everyone wants one.

2 quick questions:-

What's the capacity?

Why not use a spanner, rather than a pair of pliers, to tighten the nuts?

Just a couple of thoughts:

Obviously a skilled technician using a pair of pliers to do up the nylock nuts.

Not sure if the main plastic body is shaped for tubing - wonder how well it will cope when the fuel container is full - concerned it might swing about the tube's axis.

Not wishing to be too negative - will be interested to hear your thoughts when you've had the chance to test it out.

Because the little Chinese Man that took these pictures is not me, not you and probably didn't have a snap on tool kit ????? maybe !

Cheers for the quick replies;

I haven't got the samples here yet.
I did not take the pictures
The bracket may have to change as I can't see how it locks onto the bracket either.

I guess the current bracket will be OK to bolt through a pannier using the same holes. But proper bolts and a socket or spanner (not supplied  ).

I have ordered 3 to have a play.

2.5 ltrs:

red only
Not food quality plastic, but may look into a water version if enough of a market.

I will let y'all know and if they are here by time the HUBB comes along, etc etc.....
