And it rained most of the time, grip is good wet or dry with tourances fitted on my R1200GS.

I find the 300 plus miles up the motorway can wear a tyre but then all the twisties soon help them out cheers Spud

Have you used these on a 1200GS?. Is grip good if hard wearing?

I'm thinking of putting these on my X Country.

Cheers Dave.

I dont feel as secure on those heidenau k60,s on the gsa 1200 as i do on standard tourance !
However they do seem to last and last so you can,t have everything
Tyres almost always seem to be simply a trade of of grip for longevity :(

I'd a totally shagged a rear tyre a few years ago whilst riding in Scotland on a sports bike. I think they use a 'shell-grip' surface,
My rear tyre only lasted four days, when I got home it was squared off big time and needing replaced. Expensive weekend ok (but so much fun).
