Ramsey is right on the course so you don't have far to go to watch the racing, actually there is nowhere on the Island that is too far to watch racing. Accomodation is pretty hard to get so you are lucky. :) Enjoy the TT.

This will be my 21st TT, as the lads have said, you are lucky to get anywhere. Ramsey is canny, right on the course, a tram ride into Douglas too. I stay in Douglas and although its a good place to be, it is over hyped compared to other spots imho. The island is only 33miles long and 13miles wide, so us `other islanders` are never far from anywhere. Head out via the back roads and watch racing from the wildlife park (Quarry Bends)and the Gooseneck...also head up to Bride for a TT Tea ;)

Ramsey is a pain in the bum for nightlife (It's pretty much dead after 23:00) as everything is centered around Douglas, so you'll either have to not drink and ride your bike in each night or get the bus or electric railway (very quaint and worth doing at least once) to Douglas for the evening entertainment...avoid taxis as they are horrendous ££'s

I'm a long time TT fan/visitor, You will have a ball.

For staying it makes no difference to be honest, the nightlife side of stuff is an issue, but you can get a bus to/from Douglas during the TT and not miss anything. If you want to have a couple whilst watching the racing Ramsey is good (Parliament Square or May Hill(Coronation Park)), plus if you are mobile the Creg via Laxey or Ballaugh or the Gooseneck is easy whilst racing is on. If you want a walk the hairpin is also poss.
