Back to work blues..

Post by McOo »

Urgh.. first week back at work after a long break is always a struggle. I carried a pannier full of fleeces and base layers to Iceland only for it to be sunny and 22 degrees! B) .. then come back to England and catch a feckin cold!

Can't recommend Iceland on your own bike via the ferry from Denmark highly enough, had superb trip and easily do-able on a budget, contrary to its reputation. Will do a write up at some point soon(ish)..

Did you cross paths by chance with a chap called John (finbarr on the forum - yellow 1150GS)?
Seen some of his photos looks an amazing place.

Iceland is fantastic, but I would be interested in your cost for the trip cheers Spud ;)

Just think of work as the opportunity to earn enough money to do another bike trip, unless your lucky enough to love your job as well cheers spud ;)

Sounds good, its somewhere i'd like to take my bike to as well so a write up and some up to date info on the ferries etc would be good. There was a posting on advr i looked at today, some guy in Iceland on an old XT550, not much write up but some good pics. There was was also an older posting on ukgser that had been resurected recently with some good info and plenty of pics about someones trip there from a couple of years ago.
Chaos is the only camouflage that incompetence needs to operate at full capacity.

I dunno where that road goes, might as well go take a look anyway there's no where else i need to be right now.
