I dug the "trusty" Coleman stove out earlier in the week, and was chuffed when she fired up almost immediately after a VERY long gap. Running on Aspen petrol, so clean as a whistle.
BUT.... there is a leak on the control valve when it's under pressure. I see there is a tiny little oil seal (viton?) so I cleaned to make dure no grit but still leaked. A furtle online, suggests that the whole valve mechanism can be changed, but at a cost. Seems a shame to chuck it away, but 30+ quid for a stove that only cost me about 40 years ago, seems daft.
Anyone know of a fix before I bin it, with regret, and go all gas.
Coleman stove issue?
Re: Coleman stove issue?
Cheers, as you have to buy a whole new valve assembly, it is not realy cost effective, so I'll drain it out and put it on ebay as a spares or repair. It'll be useful for someone!

They have the full assembly, which is the recommended fix for this type of leak. I thought it was just the viton seal, but apparently not...
