The forum can be changed, Hugh .. if there is a will.. and paths made clear.
It amazes me, judging by reports, that the TRF has allowed itself to be sideswiped.

Re: Something that may interest TRF members and former members
Ive seen this in other so called members associations.
Directors always keen to say its up to the members and why don't you volunteer whilst simultaneously picking up side benefits for themselves.
Thing is the average member wants to pay his fee and expect a service for that fee and not be shamed by the fact they don't also give free labour.
Hugh, you are to be congratulated for all your hard work given freely but such good will shouldn't be abused by those claiming costs from the same association
I packed in the TRF when it became evident it had been hijacked by a couple of self serving dictatorial directors and the promise of Legal help/advice when needed turned out to be lies

Incredible that one person has the power to destroy so much of good by 1000s of well meaning bike riders.
I recently rejoined the trf as there didn't seem to be any local rides going on .. except of course the secret exclusive ones, which involved illegal lanes, and close buddies.
There seems to be a big recruitment lately in South wales, at least, and attitudes seemed to have changed with the placement of new local management. (much more inclusive). I've not involved myself yet due to illness but things seem to be looking better.

Re: Something that may interest TRF members and former members
It's almost like history repeating itself at the VMCC. Same script, different club.
Glad you have given the TRF another shot, Gary, and I hope it works out well.
There's no TRF Group currently in Cornwall...I think it was a casualty of the 'much-needed' TRF 'reform'. I'm so busy ATM I don't have time to go to the Devon Group, but I hear good things about them.

A Leopard never changes its spots...
The TRF still suffers from Mario's reign of terror, but is gradually recovering.
