Bike update
I have decided to leave the bike in Cali.
The plan is to return next European winter. And tour mainly Colombia.
Short rides compared to Chile and Argentina. But nice area that I did not had time and energy to explore this time. And the bike is in place and almost ready. Some minor upgrade and maintenance is needed. Low cost here.
So I plan a two day ride to Cali as end of this trip. No exploring. Just moving the bike.

Ride is over
The Royal Enfield is now parked in Cali.
After almost 23 000 km.
During over 4 months (128 days)
It is in need of a new chain and new tyres.
Than we can start stage 2 of this adventure.
Sometime during next European winter.

South America: Photo Album is done
I have now processed my photos.
This blog is only using photos from the phone.
Those photos are also a base for this album.
But the album includes photos taken with Nikon camera.
And much more photos.
I have created a structure that follows the time line of the trip.
With in total 12 maps.
You have to open one map at a time.
But only one link is needed.
I have reduced the resolution to 1800x pixels.
And to "normal" quality.
This reduces the size of each file around 10 times, or more
For storage and transferring.
This is hardly/not visible on a normal screen.
Some processing has also been done to improve the pictures.
I have added some map pictures, to show the routes.

RE road legal
Now tax is paid and insurance fixed.
The dealer fixed the insurance, when I bought the bike. But that had now expeired.
The insurace was a hell to get, I failed. Even with my backgrond. The system ....i could write pages. But...
But with help from the work shop owner, a lot if negotiations and even some extra payment, it is now done.
Any day now, plan A is to ride south, Colombia, Ecuador and some montains in Peru. But I have no fixed time schedule or most to do.
Weather and mode will decide.
Road conditions are very dependent of weather.
I like the food in this part of SA. Excellent coffe. Rice, chichen and beans
Clear message Minor addition to the Himalyan
