What Happened to the bike Nod ??

I admit its been 10 years or so Since my last bike
But every biker I passed would Nod, or wave and I liked that, the brotherhood the bond
but these days, only a hand full off people bother, what happened?


So My question is,
Do you nod or even wave?
And if not ,why not??

Most riders nod in the Lancs/York’s area where I ride, except the cruiser riders in piss pot helmets, much to uncool for them?

I started riding a scooter half the time. Then I noticed that 98% of bikers do not wave to scooter riders. So I stopped waving while riding the scooter. Then it became too demanding of my thought process to remember what I was riding and what was appropriate, so I stopped waving altogether. I do wave back.

I also like performance cars as much as bikes and I have a habit of nodding at them too…which gets some strange looks sometimes

To be fair I now only get nods from the deliveroo contingent, whereas I must look like a nodding flipping donkey when I’m out on the roads. Everything is fair game

I always nod especially to youngsters on scooters in an effort to make em feel part of the gang. If the nods not returned I'm ok with that, better to encourage than criticise.
