A mate called round today with his 390,
Had a bit of a go on it,
Sits at 80mph vibe free
Very nice, great chassis, brakes, motor,
I can't think of a better value bike on sale today
Dave.
Ktm 390 adventure
Re: Ktm 390 adventure
he loves it,
we're into the old rider category i guess,
its just less intimidating than the bigger adventure bikes,
you can just enjoy where your going rather than worrying about throttle inputs etc and if you can lift it off you when it all goes wrong off-road lol ,

Re: Ktm 390 adventure
Certainly an interesting bike for a relaxed, nom-pretentious adventure in woods. Fuel economy must be great also so a tank can take you a loong way. Someone has to make an extended range (under seat?) tank for this thing...

Re: Ktm 390 adventure
I bought one of these at Christmas - great little bike! Not ridden it much yet thanks to lockdown but I can see it taking the place of my 1250 GS in a year or so.
Plainly it's a capable little machine. https://www.carandbike.com/news/ashish- ... SZ7p7rGr18

Any bike that can do that is good in my book. Biking should never be about being sensible and mature.

Re: Ktm 390 adventure
You can trail ride many things - depending on your definition of trail ... In the case of UK green lanes, I would prefer the very lightest bike with big knobblies to clear mud efficiently. For trails with a gravelly surface on a long distance ride, this bike should be perfect - also with the right tyres of course. I imagine it would do pretty well on the TET.
Look at the video I posted a link to, to see how it performs on hills and rough surfaces...
