(Re-advertised as I’d missed a few items that are included in the sale and have dropped the price)

For sale is my 2008, R1200 GS Adventure. I’m the second owner.

Lovely bike - tempted to keep her - but since we bought a 2018 GSA TE recently - need to make some space!

Kept in a warm garage. She’s in excellent condition. Average miles for her age I think, now on 64,000 but runs lovely and is going to serve somebody really well, for a lot longer yet.


Major Points: I’ve always looked after her all the big jobs are done!

New rear tyre a few months back.
Serviced and all brake pads replaced a few weeks ago
MOT till January 2022. No advisories.
Shaft drive was fully serviced, and had crown bearings and all seals replaced along with the rubber shaft boots too - done by Independent BMW Master Technician.
Brake Discs are about 18 months old also

The box and panniers are key coded in - they are showing some tarnishing - but are in absolutely solid nick and aren't too bad looking - see pics!

Waterproof bar bag included - all wired in with USB port inside the bag for phone charging - see pics.
x2 Handle bar muffs thrown in for nowt - bit worn, but still good.

The seats were refurbished by Herbert and Ellison, specialist vehicle upholsters. They rebuilt the low rider seat for me - raised it an inch and put higher grade gel foam in. So its a medium height seat - very comfy. I then had them both covered in Waterproof Alcantara Suede with a subtle red trim. Its warm in winter, cool in summer and you don't slide about on it. They did a great job.


Tobinator been missing since I bought it - replaced with a wing nut. Never bothered me. I chased one up last week with Motorwerks but oddly they couldn’t get hold of them just now!

I laid her down a few months ago when a grating gave way - and it dented the right side cylinder head guard - I include in the sale a brand new OEM guard - you can either swap it yourself, flog it, or keep it as a spare - up to you. I just couldn’t sell it on without correcting it!

The Auxiliary Lamps are permanently on (when bike is turned on).

The dash shows a yellow warning light. This is because I broke a tyre pressure gauge a few years back and replaced it with a standard valve. I’ve always been fastidious about my tyres and check and swap them regularly - so the lack of TPG didn’t bother me. They’re about £120 to replace if you wanted too…

She's had a fortune worth of ACF50 spent on her over the years, i regularly valet my bikes, and keep them well rinsed of road salt and re-ACF50 them frequently.

I think this care can be seen in the pictures.

SALE NOTES:
She's HPI clear. Also, she's had a private plate on - which I’ve transferred to my new bike. I am happy to issue a photocopy of the retention letter so you know the receipts and MOT / past documents etc are on the bike!! The V5 is up to date of course.
