.......even though we have said all year that until the world looks a much more stable place COVID wise we’d stay in the UK.
A ferry has been booked and a deposit paid. At the end of June we are due to be at the top of Denmark ready to board the ferry to Iceland.
The plan so far:-
Dover to Calais.
Calais to Germany.
TET.....(see separate thread) ....to Denmark.
Top of Denmark, some by TET maybe ish.
Two day ferry ride.
14 days in Iceland.
Ferry to the Faroe Islands.
2 nights there.
Ferry to Denmark.
Now, about that vaccine........
Booked something.......

There’s more chance of a total “gadget” meltdown and extended forced hospital stay preventing us going than the other BIG unknown!!
But yes, should be a brilliant trip.
The Tenere 700 needs a few bits bolting to it. The camping gear changing/modifying/adding to.
Having only ridden 100 miles this year we are understandably excited at the prospect.

Re: Booked something.......
There was a good thread on here a year or two back, about a trip to Iceland and Faroes by bike. Great photos I seem to remember.

That one. I remember it. I’ll have another read through, I’m sure that there’ll be some good pointers.

I must admit, as soon as we’d booked it I thought DOH! But hey, it’ll be fine.

Re: Booked something.......
Fingers crossed for you, sounds like an amazing trip.
We have ferry booked for next August - just over 3 weeks away and planning to ride down to Greece.
However, even if we are Covid clear, the knock on effect to the education system, in this country, may mean my wife has to work all summer..........again.
Oh well, fingers crossed for us all.

Looks like it should be a great trip, you are a braver man than me, any EU trips are on hold for the moment, although I hope to go to Scotland and the Shetlands next year. Good luck.

The EARLIEST that the FIRST lot of vaccines will be available is March, for just 2.5M people, and they're going to care homes and/or front-line staff.
It is unlikely that most people will see vaccine before next autumn.
Just saying whats been in all the news.
