Haha, yes 930mm but it’s only the same height as my WR250R - which, I believe, you have experience of.
I always have my saddles reupholstered by Tony Archer with added height - I’ll see if he can manage 4 inches

My pops is 6ft something (2” or 4” can’t remember which) with long legs and his legs were ok on it. He did find the saddle most uncomfortable which surprised me because I can’t imagine a more comfortable bike. A test ride is the only real way to know.

I always ride with the sheepskin on, saves me from bum ache, keeps it cool(ish) in the summer and warm in the winter.

Well after 12 months of looking at them, sitting on them and generally questioning if I would use one ........ I finally took the plunge on a used Himalayan .
To be honest it was a bargain price and worth buying just to scratch the itch, time will tell if I can adapt my riding from 115bhp to whatever the Himmy has .

I've got no thoughts of taking it offroad because those days are done for me but if I spot a gravel road to the top of a hill it will do the job .
Most of my riding these days is with my Wife on her MT07 + me on a 1200 or with mates+wags and I get frustrated at having the power but constantly restraining myself or not and I can't afford to lose my licence.
So now we are Grandparents I am trying to use a small bike at 100% instead of a big bike at 50%

Hi, I am just trying to renew the insurance on mine and am sick to death of filling in online forms and after several pages finding that these specialist motorcycle insurers have not heard of the Himalayan. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies that actually have heard of it?

I found that when I put my reg no in it came out as a 500cc but I could find the Himalayan on the drop down model menu. Go compare, Hastings and Carol Nash all listed the model and gave me a quote online.

Took my 2k mile Himmy out on the TRF rideout and then pasted it round the "adventure track" including all but two of the "experts" sections over three consecutive laps having one "off" going over a log and it performed admirably and came out absolutely unscathed except for a bent gear lever which was simply bent back again. The Himmy was a match for much more expensive machinery doing the same stuff as them. Hundred miles each way to get to the venue and back loaded with the camping gear was an absolute pleasure and brings a smile to my face when i'm getting along at 60 through the lanes with the big single doing it's job very well. It's now sat in the workshop cleaned up and ready to go again;
