Sorry chaps just needed a rant about humanity today.

On holiday in west wales took my kids to a soft play. No where to park so popped my car next to a fence nicely out the way on a Sunday.

Somehow didn’t spot the parking notice. I walked my kids into the soft play with my wife paid up then went back to the car and the local shop had plonked a 100 pound parking charge on me. Literally I was there for no more than 4 minutes. So they must have watched me park and waited for me to leave.. some people are just scum bags and I wish all bad things to befall them in life.

Really ruined our holiday, my fault I know but I stress I was there for such a short period....

No only that we were planning for lunch in the soft play so they cost that business around 20 quid!

I would suggest name the place so that anyone else can avoid it.

So much for a friendly welcome for tourism.

Curious though how a shop can put a charge like that on you? Clamp?

Go to that Martin Lewis money page there was a thing on there a while back about parking charges. The legality and differences between parking penalty charges, parking fines etc. It might help

What does it say they will do if you dont pay?

It’s a proper firms ticket. According to which your pretty screwed unless you want to go to court over 60 quid.

But they should be able to provide a breakdown of costs, I’d like to see that but I’d still have to go to court to get my money back. The problem with the system is it’s too easy to wap a ticket on then not worth the effort to try and get off...

Sorry by law if you pay in 14 days they need to give you 40% off hence 60quid

Your screwed.... Was their lines on the road edge by kerb as this means parking restrictions apply then you need to find the sign... Or maybe its a private entrance...

Shit happens think of it another way if was your place and you where pissed at everyone parking there... Cest la vie..

I parked behind the yellow lines off the road where marked in red. No obstruction to anyone. Hey ho live and learn eh! Could have spent that 60 on farkling... grrr
