First time going to Vietnam, looking for some advice

Post by Adancopper »

How long do you spend in Vietnam? Vietnam is peaceful country with a lot of beautiful destinations for traveling through the north to the south. For hotel, you should refer and book in advance if you traveling in peak season. Halong, Sapa, Hanoi and HCMC are must-see destination

For your 2-week trip in Vietnam, you can spend one week in the Central and one week in the North. Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue or Nha Trang are famous destinations in the Central. You will travel in May so it's the best time to spend your holiday with beautiful beaches there. Then back to the North, 2 days in Ninh Binh and 3 days in Halong Bay are enough. For the rest 2 days, you can visit the capital Hanoi.

My lad was there for 3 months last year, I'll ask him what he recommends. I know he hired a bike (only a shonky 125) for part of his time there and loved it

I'm going in September this year, 3 nights in Hanoi, a 2 week North to South trip with Flamingo Travel, then 2 nights in Saigon to finish off.
Looking forwards to it, I'm more interested in the food options than anything else.
Have a look on YouTube for Best Ever Food Review Show, there's got to be something for everyone.
