I would say that you should all check your spokes as I found a few a bit loose, I've gave them a quarter a turn and put some lock tight on, should do the trick.

I dropped the hieght of the bike by 2 inches so I took 2.5 inches off the stand, took the stand of once cut to size took it to a m8 with welding kit

I tested the speedo on Sunday against my gamin Montana, upto 65 mph, the speedo was 2 mph in front of the garmin,
I would say that's about right on my wk, the fuel gauge was flashing on one bar when I filled up and it only took 12ltrs
So it's way out, some one says the tank takes 22ltrs is that true or is it 18ltrs

Hi graham, the tank will take 21 litres at a push, i think 2 litres or so are unusable due to the shape of the tank in the base as fuel can get trapped on the right side. The fuel sender is not always set right, check out one of my previous posts as a guide to show how far to bend the sender float when removed

You could as some other bikes do,use it as an extra reserve by tipping the bike over to the outlet side.It should get you a few extra miles in an emergency.

Ive also put some led bulbs in the headlight, i know they dont give the same beam as standard bulbs but dont plan to do any night rides and think they give a good light for daytime drl's, they run a lot cooler as well
I also did the side light with a w5w led .....will try to get a shot with them on later when it gets a bit darker

And finally .......changed the slider bar bolts as they are very soft metal and will be removed quiet often to do maintenance. Already looked a bit used having changed the plug and having had the tank off....got some chrome ones same format, 10mm with flange half thread with 13mm ss nut.....

Looking good you might want to change a few of the engine bolts out for stainless steel if they are showing errosion too.Which LEDs did you opt for Bud?
