Re: Motorcycle Live 2016 NEC
First time visting the show this year for me
Wouldn't normally consider it as a bit of a trek from Edinburgh, but this year gonna be in Manchester on Monday so hopefully it will be worth the 5-6hr drive home afterwards??
Not sure about picking up bargains but just looking forward to seeing the bikes (hoping the SWM Superdual will be there).

Re: Motorcycle Live 2016 NEC
Theres a couple of bike trials offers going on too
http://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/feature/acu-try-trials/This year the Auto Cycle Union Ltd (ACU), in conjunction with BUMPY (Birstall Urban Motorcycle Project for Youth) will be providing members of the public with the opportunity to try out the sport of trials during a free of charge with trials riding session.
http://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/feature/test-ride-zone/The Test Ride Zone will make a welcome return to Motorcycle Live thanks to Shoei, Sidi and Spada, and a great line up of bikes from leading manufacturers for you to ride out on the open road.
Along with a FREE ride, all the safety equipment will be provided to keep you safe on the road, along with an experienced product technician to ensure all the kit fits correctly. So visitors travelling to the show by train or car – are still able ride, using gear kindly provided by Shoei, Sidi and Spada. We’ll give you a full briefing before you pick up your bike and take to the roads accompanied by out-riders. Visitors will get a real feel for their chosen bike and then get the chance to wander to the manufacturer for any questions they may have.
Booking for this experience is only available when you arrive at the show, the booking desk will be located in the rear of Hall 3A.

Re: Motorcycle Live 2016 NEC
I want to go but work and an early Xmas meal is getting in the way and no more hols to take. I was going to try and work something out with work to go during the week but the noticed it's £25 (plus another 25 if my wife comes along too, don't like being Billy no mates) to get in, £12.50 to park and got to bank on at least 40 to 50 quid for petrol in the car. So it's 100 quid to see some shinny bikes but not the new tenere as yamaha are dragging it's heals. Anyway the 50 quid to get in made me think twice about trying to sort a day off so I can't see me going good ever again. Too bloody expensive.

Re: Motorcycle Live 2016 NEC
I am hoping to get there this sunday I enjoy the 230 mile round trip on the bike in the rain and cold
And to be honest I am not to arsed about the bikes
I will get my Arai serviced for free (thumbs)
Most of the bikes will turn up at Rivvy barn some time or other in the real world with people who have spent
there hard earned
money on some will be honest and say how crap they are others will tell you how good they are
but and its a big BUT if I can see any of these its worth the trip

It will be worth the cold and dick head drivers on the M6 (thumbs)

Re: Motorcycle Live 2016 NEC
I once watched 2 guys in the NEC car park get their bike gear out of their BMW boot put the gear on so it looked like they had arrived by bike!!!
Having sold up in 2022 & retired from riding I’ve now made a return with a Fantic Scrambler.
Re: Motorcycle Live 2016 NEC

Going with my wee boy on the 26th. Bike unless it's pissing it down, I don't know how waterproof his gear is.
