Oh and the Leeds incident was not bikers, in my mine they are yobs or chavs on stolen bikes.....
I fully agree, but if you look at the definition of biker which I sort agree with, then I, that's me assumed I was one but on reflection I am not. It was of course irrelevant that the Leeds thing was not bikers as that's what it was reported as. I also don't care what other people think, to be honest I would n't know, but yes I have been referred to as biker when I don't qualify for the badge. No big deal just an observation.

I just like two wheeled transport no matter what I am called when riding it. I am the same person on the 110 scooter as on the 1200 it is only the nomenclature that society likes to attach and if that makes them comfortable then so be it. Call me what you like but don't call me late for lunch :)

I am a biker and proud, why not, it's a term for someone who rides a motorcycle, a motorcyclist spends lots of time tutting and shaking his head, a cabinet maker works with wood as does a beever

This is turning into a confessional rather than like the ones we see in US tv shows where one bloke stands up and admits to being an alcoholic, a wife beater, a drug addict or whatever and the rest slowly follow :pinch:

I'm still not ashamed to have people point at me and tell their children that I'm a biker and if they misbehave at school that's how they'll end up

I think in the 60's 70's and 80's, 80% of riders would have called themselves Bikers.

Looking at what I see now I would say its 80% of riders are Motorcyclists.

Its not what you ride …when you ride…or how far you ride…

You can't buy a Motorcycle and decided to be a Biker …

The choice is made the 1st time you sit on a bike and twist that throttle (thumbs)

I think you're right Dazzer. If you've been riding bikes since you were a teenager and still riding 30-40 years later you're probably a biker whether you like the term or not.
