We buy things we don't need
With money we don't have
To impress people we don't even like

Re: Van - a big accessory!
Mercedes Vito or if you can afford it a Viano- classed as a car...chip it & enjoy decent MPG, power and relaibility...while getting the opportunity to practice your bodywork repairs as you fight rust on wheel arches etc!
Mercedes vans (engines etc) are great...bodywork sucks!...vianos are £46k+ new for a reason...but its not the bodywork!

Re: Van - a big accessory!
This year I lost my beloved Mitsubishi mpv to chassis rust so don't buy rust prone vans!
Re: Van - a big accessory!
I've had a T5 Kombi for a year now....love it. Wish I'd have bought one sooner. Two bikes in the back easy with a bit of seat jigging. Perfect.
I did consider a new Transit or Renault.....much cheaper to buy, but after 5 years, depreciation was horrendous. The VW will have lost very little.
