to travel in france ...apart from reflective jackets/ bulbs.oh and if you get stopped not wearing your reflective jacket ,stay on your bike so as to only get an 11 e fine as apposed to a 130 e fine if you are off your bike......you now have to put 4 reflective stickers on your helmet...not only that they must damage the helmet if removal is attempted....tell you what france..keep the odd cafe /bar food shop garage hotel ect open for longer than a hour a day and i will happily comply Rant Rant!!

Just come back from around 1600 miles in France, saw a couple of speed traps, but only when past them, no agroo at all, I did wear a reflective waistcoat, but riding a foreign bike you don't need reflective stickers on your helmet.

The French are really hot on speed, so if you blast through the place at 2x the limit you will get nicked, if you get nicked your attitude will determine the result, ranting won't be helpful, lovely place France

I like France (thumbs) . But on a recent trip we had bad service on a number of occasions. I'm used to the usual French grumpiness but they seemed particularly more so than usual. Things improved as we got further south. Perhaps it was because the football was on at the same time as our trip?

Did a trip to the Pyrenees last month, 7 of us, all carried reflective waste coats but never wore them or got stopped. Luck I guess.

Just come back from a French trip, didn't wear hi vis but carried it the law on reflective strips on your helmet doesn't that refer to new helmets bought in France only. yeah they're hot on speed but why go so fast you can't enjoy the country that's why you're going is it not? to see the country - If you want a blast join a motorway for a bit no biggy. perhaps you've lost the whole idea of holiday touring and need to wind down a little.

you do not need to wear a reflective jacket when riding your bike.

the helmet sticke thing has been law in france for years. it's not enforced.

why not stay at home and eat deep fried mars bars ffs

just got back from honflur on monday, checking out of the hotel and they charged me honfluer town tax of 42 euros, only there for 3 days and spent £600 into the local economy
