It seems to me that Al thinks we're well on the road to being f****d. If my understanding of his post is correct I agree with him.

Good idea, let's try wrecking the economy and send a lot of multinational companies running out of the UK taking their highly paid jobs (and the income tax plus general spending) out of the UK. That's going to help.

Exactly the same thing in my town, shops that have been empty for 10yrs+ My local shipyard once employed 20,000 now its 2,000. A busy harbour where fresh fish was always available is now 2 boats trying to scrape a living
My day to day working life is constantly changing as we have to implement more and more silly EU rules.
I do feel sorry for the people who's jobs are suffering because of this, but more people's job's have suffered because of the EU.

There might be hard times ahead, no one knows for sure but one thing i'm sure of is that now politicians will have to listen to the people or pay the price, they have woken a sleeping giant and they dont like it.
Within the next year you'll see more countries having an exit vote and possibly in the future we will end up with a proper EU, elected people doing the best for everyone and no freeloaders or stupid rules made at huge expense.

I have been offended by comments that the leave voters are stupid, given that a large % of the remain voters were under 25's, this is a group that voted in because they think they know best, they thought they might not be able to go to ibiza (yes some voted because of that) most under 25's i seem to meet i often wonder how they find their way home, or who ties their shoelaces. A quick look on facebook shows the average intelligence of the average under 25 voter, perhaps a 3rd option on the ballot paper

Keep init M8 []

Just remember if you are not happy with the idiot % that voted out, wait till they find out their days of duty free fags are about to end!

No disrespect Mark, I don't think that the problems in your town oh other town in the UK is to do with the EU, sorry. if you think it is then you understood this EU think wrong.

The problems that you mentioning are from the UK governments over the years not the EU.

I think I understood you correctly, if I haven't sorry.

Are these the same multinational companies that have been building factories in the far east for the last 10+yrs, or the ones that have call centres on the other side of the world. Or the ones that claim to be british, once were british but everything they now produce is made far from the UK.
Or the large multinational companies that have a huge presence here but never pay any tax including BT 'British Telecom' one of the worst for avoiding paying tax.

I talked specifically about the employee tax (which the company doesn't pay, the individual does) and the contribution to the economy (eg taxis, office space, lunches, stationery etc etc) none of this impacted by any tax dodging the company does or doesn't do.

So what was your point?
