KTM 690R tyres
Re: KTM 690R tyres
Neil, don't fret about the 120 size. maxxis are measured wall to wall not knob to knob like some others. I've been running those tyres on my 525 all year and mates run them on their 690's B) (they run about 14 psi offroad, 18 on road)

Looking at fitting maxis IT to my 690 for trip to wales, have one on the rear of a 250 husky and it works fine, but a bit worried fitting it to 690 as its only rated at 81mph?
Re: KTM 690R tyres
Just stay below 80. Due to some bad timing on my part I did a 2100 mile road trip on mine last year and was surprised at how well the tyres did.spoky0 wrote:Looking at fitting maxis IT to my 690 for trip to wales, have one on the rear of a 250 husky and it works fine, but a bit worried fitting it to 690 as its only rated at 81mph?
Re: KTM 690R tyres
Need something that will do over 80 really as i use the bike for everything, wear isn't a problem, but i do like to open it up sometimes.
I've run tic 80's ( rubbish on dirt and rear wore out in 1k), and MT 21s (better on dirt, good on road, but not aggressive enough for really tough going). Also have some deserts on spare rims with mouses in, which I ran just off road in wales last year, but they are too hard for our climate and slip on rocks etc.
Has anyone had experience of these MaxxisCross on a 690, standard on Exc's I think, Maxxis MaxxCross Enduro Pro F.I.M M7313 / M7314 140/80 18 (70R),Maxxis MaxxCross Enduro Pro F.I.M M7313 / M7314 90/90 21 (54R) ?
