How old are we. Poll.
Re: How old are we. Poll.
66, statistically I have 18 years left, probably only 10 when I can keep doing what I'm doing now. As someone else said I have a growing list of things I no longer give a toss about. It's very liberating.

There's not a 'kids gone, stuffing cash in pension to repair for retirement' option.
So I'll plump for the R1 gone option. (52)

Alas the option for "young enough to party all night, and old enough to know I shouldn't post personnel details online" isn't available.
But it appears that I'm only slightly younger than the average forum member

Took 'early retirement' as I called it (Voluntary redundancy as they called it) at 50 with full pension. Passed the 70 barrier last year. Been riding seriously for last 3-4 years as didn't get first bike 'til 60. Lot of years to make up :woohoo: (thumbs).
Oh and where is category for kids come back again? Not too bad as he is the real biker in the family so I can get some good touring in

56 years old, took voluntary redundancy nearly ten years ago and moved abroad in the sun for a few years, been back here for nearly seven years and now work for myself (part time) and generally try to enjoy life. Hopefully out on bike more this year.

Re: How old are we. Poll.
69 this year--did the Salisbury Plain meet a couple of weeks ago. Riding with the ADV group at The Mad March Moon meet near Oswestry this coming weekend--it WILL be wet, muddy , slippery and so on--but I'll keep going --probably drop dead on the trail!!--best way to go! Been riding since I was 12--fields and local disused airfield--have road raced--solo and sidecar passenger, done Trials, the odd TBEC enduro, done the elefantentreffen back in the early 70s a few times on old Brit singles, a couple of 5 day "Ring" courses, Romania a couple of times -recently offroad up through Greece into Albania, Montenegro, Croatia etc--offroad and camping, start of the Dakar when it was in Lisbon--rode down through France etc, and hung out with Desert Rose and an American crew. Toured around the USA as I worked there for 3 years (Deal's Gap and such) . I currently have 4 bikes--Triumph 1050 Tiger, 89 Honda CBR600 FK, Yamaha WR250R and the 89 Honda NX250.---Its been emotional --as Vinny would say. Still lots on the bucket list if I last long enough.
