basha, tarp, thingy

I hear stories of tarps, and bashas, and wonder why a 3x3 piece of fabric can change prices so much? £7.99 to £90 and not all come with poles or even cord.
Question..... what do I need as an extension so my porchless tent?
I can buy a tent for £25 complete, but this simple product seems to be expensive for what it is.

I blame that Austin Vince, he started this !!!

Budget one with poles etc would be OK, where , when how much ?

decathlon tarp cheap and cheerfull and very good ,covers the front of the tent or right over or as a porch etc etc

Basically you pay for the quality of the material (water proofness and tear resistance) and stitching and reinforcement, the flexibility (number and location of loops) and pack down size

I used my 4 by 4m DD tarp at the Countrymen Rally this weekend with a DD hammock


I've got an army spec basha that is very waterproof but heavier with pop studs that can be popped together to make a stretcher. It's smaller at 2.4m by 1.7m but I'd use that for making a shelter between the bike and ground or on its own

Loads of us have the Decalthlon Quecha tarp £10 when I got mine many years ago but think they are nearer to £20 now

Dont mean to hijack this thread, my apologies in advance. I just wondered how you find sleeping in a hammock. Any back problems with the way it sags in the middle ?
