Sorry to disagree!
Riders of The Lost Trail in Spain is far better.
Although, I think an element of training before Redtread or RIders of the lost trail would be a good idea, these companies are set up as off road holidays rather than training.

My wife and I did the i2i off road course.
Really enjoyed it and, even after 30 years of biking, it improved my road skills and confidence.
Then did the Stella and Aragon HISS (thumbs)
This is a skills teaching course on a motocross track but all techniques are transferrable to road and trail riding.
As far as I could see it was one of the cheapest around and as I'd already done the raod course I knew the instructor was good.

I have to agree with SteveW,

Riders of the Lost Trail are fantastic I've ridden with them 4 times and each time it gets better and better as my skill and confidence increases. They now have a private 'skills' course which looks amazing.

Good trails, amazing bikes and equipment, great staff and amazing food

I have done the course with Skygod not only is he a top bloke but a very good instructor as well. The way he explained things and the drills he had me doing taught me a lot. I had a life times road experience but little to none off road experience. A good day out and worth the money in my view.

cheers Spud ;)

There was a thread a few weeks ago about this - generally positive about ABW and Gary.

I did it in 2012 and would recommend it. A day spent learning the basics; handling the bike, slow speed manoeuvres, braking, body positioning, picking up the bike has proved invaluable. Yes I still fall off a lot (although less and less as time goes by) and yes I'm usually the slowest rider in the group – but it gave me the confidence and the basic skills to tackle most trails.

I did a day with Mick Extance http://www.mickextanceexperience.com/ about a month ago.

It peed down all day, blowing a gale and I was the only one there. One to one from a 7 times Paris - Dakar rider using their bike was absolutely brilliant.

If you fancy looking at some pics and a few videos of the day then pop along to the shop for a brew and have a chat :)

Thanks lads for the kind words on here.
