Cotswolds. Unsuitable for Motors Tracks

Post by Kenboxertwin »

Went for a bimble around the Cotswolds today looking for off road tracks.
All seem to be marked up as Unsuitable for Motors and many have been downgraded to Restricted Byway which is a shame as they would be great for our use :(

Alun have you done this one up above one of your favourite places the Slaughters.
Its called Condicote Lane off the Lower Swell Road

Probably not overgrown enough for you to bother with

Its in three sections and starts as a dirt track

Crosses a minor lane and gets a bit more interesting

And then crosses over another minor lane

And then out to dry land, well it wasnt dry as you can see  on my nearly bald front Tourance. :woohoo:

I know that one well - was on it this morning!

I use it as part of a 25 mile loop that starts in Kineton - plenty of fun yet still accessible to most. I have one it 2 up on my GSA when it was running tourances. Alun and Craigrevo have been along for a play. Looks like we're going again on Sunday morning.

Missed this post 1st time around. As Mav has already pointed out, I've been on those trails though had trouble recognising them without any floating ducks in the pics. We rode them in monsoon conditions early last winter.

Would love to know the route of the ride starting in Kineton.
Myself, Kendo & Mahoosiv try to get out on Friday mornings to do a bit of Green Laning before hitting the office in Atherstone on Stour.
If you could give us some way points of the ride we could sus it out on OS maps.

BTW, found a nice little lane from Ufton to Hunnigham last week. Mahoosiv took a video of it.

What time are you thinking of going? I could be available to take you around the lanes.
