Russia route.............

Has anyone got any routes to Russia on a motorcycle, best way to go etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's a long way to russia is there a way of doing some off the miles by putting your bike / bikes on the train to cover a lot of miles bet there is some one out there on this site with some good info that would help you out

i know that there is a big ferry that goes from denmark to the top of norway, you could then drive across samiiskland into russia from the top

Keep going East and South a bit until you get to Armenia and then turn left.

Kev and the lads just shipped (in a van) their 5 bikes to Riga, then they flew into Riga, picked up the bikes and rode into Russia. I think you have to bring your bike over the border yourself otherwise you've to pay import duty. Check out their trip on www.bamriders.com (thumbs)

The only thing preventing me from being jealous is the sleeping in ditches and eating roadkill part.

We're on the Harwich ferry Thursday next week for a weekend of Belgian beers with a bit of bike racing at Spa to break things up a bit

Been looking at the Russian visa's but can't find info on a three month one with open dates.
Do they exist?.

I got my Russian visa from them: http://www.realrussia.co.uk/ They were very helpful, so just drop them an email. Asking is still free

Not sure whether there is such a thing as am open date visa tbh, but worth asking
