Like the look of this pump, might be a handy bit of kit camping or on the tails. (thumbs)

Re: Lidl 3rd april
the problem with these pumps is that they use plastic hose and valve clamp. bought one a while ago, hose bursed at 4bar and the valve clamp was very flimsy. it went back to the shop.

I agree, the clamp is pain in the...can swap for proper heavy duty clam, but it will probably cost more than the whole pump !!!V_King wrote:the problem with these pumps is that they use plastic hose and valve clamp. bought one a while ago, hose bursed at 4bar and the valve clamp was very flimsy. it went back to the shop.

Re: Lidl 3rd april
These type of pumps usually take forever to pump up the tyres to the required pressure.
I personally use a 12V electric pump that plugs into the power socket on the bike.
One tip to use is buy a second one from Ebay which are used on the later model cars in place of a spare wheel.
Search string maybe "Honda civic pump".

Re: Lidl 3rd april
i could see using one of those on a push bike but why struggle when motorcycles have a battery fitted.

Has anyone tried one of these?

I was thinking about one but I'm not sure how robust it would prove to be.

As were talking travel here with the limitations on storage that requires. I bought a battery operated pump and stripped all the outer casing away, to just leave the actual pump, hose and connecting wire.
Amazing how much space I saved and the unit works perfectly well without all that surplus plastic.
