Letters of introduction for a Visa...does anyone know.........
Re: Letters of introduction fit a Visa...does anyone know.........
If you have spent any time in the booties don't mention it on any paperwork re visa's
just say your a painter or something like that as they are all paranoid and think your james frickin bond, keep it as simple as you can so there.s no other questions they can ask.
The one I always have to get from my employer states that I will be entering the country as a tourist and will not be carrying out any official duties.

We got our kazak and Russian visas with no LOI. Just needed to mention a hotel but didn't even need to stay there. Got info for hotel from lonely planet. LOI requirements are different for each country but I reckon all yours are low grade if even necessary. Go on a website like The Visa Machine and see what they say you need
Good luck

I don't know if this is true but I was told by a seasoned traveller that you should always say you worked for the post office...the reason being that some of the earliest and widest-respected international non-military treaties covered Post and Telegraph...no idea if it was true but he always put PTT (Post Telegraph Telephone) on his visa applications...the truth was he'd once worked as a motorcycle courier.

In the middle of this ourselves. (For Russia)
You can get an invite for through Real Russia.
Make sure it says auto tourist on it.
Not sure how they can tell where you work or worked so I guess you can put what you like.
If you do make it up don't put your home address as your work address; they'll assume you are self employed and you'll have to prove you have enough cash to support yourself while you're there.
Had thought of doing it myself but I'm leaning towards paying up and letting Real Russia do it for me.

I didn't need an LOI for Turkmenistan (got that visa in Mashad Iran) or Uzbekistan (applied by post via London) but that was 2012... times are a changing...
