easter weekend -sailsbury area

Post by Tramp »

Hi all,

Anyone about over the easter weekend for a play on the plains area as most of it should be open...and very dry toowe could do a circuit from Amesbury to warminster and back to the Stones.

i`m open to any day shame to waste the dry weather for the bike bikes ...

I'm around from Saturday lunchtime & fancy getting a few miles under the belt. Any ideas as to when, where & route?

Cheers

I could be up for that if you dont mind a smelly two stoke with a 70 mile tank range tagging along. I'll ride at the back I'm used to it. I'm north of Southampton too, just. B)

Hi all, looks like a meet Monday Morning time to be confermed but hows 8am meet at the services off the A303 at Amesbury sound? From their we could take in the plain sections subject to being open and across to spend the morning off road so two strokes and novices okay by me as it will be dry so less chance of a fall but the ground will be rutted and loads of gravel.

Please bring some water to drink as it will be hot and dont forget the cameras:laugh:

Tomsdad or anyone else who has the phone number for the range office could they please pm me it so I ca check to see whats open , I`d like to do the Nine mile river section as its dry ish.

As Tomsdad has to be home early pm on the Monday if he did the morning route I could do a section for the afternoon if thats okay with everyone?

I'll hook up with you guys at the services but being on a road bike, give the tracks & trails a miss & just go & play on the roads between Tilshead / Shrewton / Chitterne

I live in the Vale of Pewsey, just off the north side of the Larkhill Arty Range - let me know if you need a recommendation for a decent pub to RV at for lunch
