Because I was first to ring him and wanted to buy it and have been told it's not ready for sale now due to work /time restrictions, I'd be proper pissed off if it's been sold after I said I'd buy it.

Is that a serious post? the normal decent ettiquite of a forum sale is first come first serve, I'm not having a dig at you but how would you feel if you had been told its yours then it's sold to someone else???

Yes I was according to the seller, if i wasnt then he wouldve surely said its sold. but as you've said it obviously doesn't matter, I even text him today and no mention that it was sold to someone else, this stinks mate, my faith in forums has finally gone.
