A very clever piece of marketing, fair play to the guy who thought of it, free for a year then a pound after everyone is using it and used to it, he's gonna make a million.

It (the app itself) can be free if you know what to do! ( I find a simple complete delete and re install works well) - or on Nokia phones it is completely free from day one


a great app though, used it almost since it's launch. very handy and much cheaper on data etc than other means of sending messages / pics

I didnt think its been out that long Dan? Fairplay if you have, personally I prefer BBM especially now its on most formats.

I've got it too. I don't need it as I get unlimited calls and texts, but it's good for sending pictures as (so far) they are free.

Since 2011 I haven't had to pay. Some phones might require a one off payment, but the only one I know of is Samsung?
