i wanna do this next year wot do we reckon
Re: i wanna do this next year wot do we reckon
I reckon it's a lot of cash and I'd never get the time off work to go so it'll be crap
Actually I don't think the price is bad all things considered and it'll be a riot. I'd want to know what they've got in place to cover any 'incidents' but apart from that if I could blag the extra holidays I'd need I'd love to do it.

Hi ,a friend of mine , went on one of his trips a few years ago, a frigin nightmare.eg ,arriving at your destinations,1am,and then they finding out, nick had to find a place too stay,as as he hadn't booked ahead. nick sanders is bonkers (in a good way) and some of his trips are riding on the knife edge of disaster, so i reckon it'll be a right laugh! 300-350mi a day is enough to feel youre doing a tour without the ironbutt experience.
it seems a lot on the face of it but thats only £195 per day, much less if you take out the included bike shipping and personal flights which cost a packet these days. if i had the cash i'd seriously think about it.

Same as moto Al. Herd a few story's of the riding been a FULL days riding at Nicks pace. He's a great one man endurance rider and traveller. Think you have to read/ watch some of his travels and ask yourself, Could I do that.
Just my 2 bobs worth.
Cheers Dave.

Price seems OK - but I suspect you could diy-it and have a longer experience for the same money.
Riding in the US is not tricky - food, fuel, rest etc are all generally readily available - and they almost all speak some form of English. It is a big place and you'll have to do some long days no matter which way you head - stuff is just so far apart!
Not sure I would want to do dawn to dusk day after day in the south though. I found the heat in Arazona, for example, pretty draining - and was up before the sun, but finishing my riding before midday as I looked for shade, rest and fluids after that.
It still remains one of the most amazing countries to ride though - and if you like to push your limits and are only ever likely to ride there if you were part of an organised group, then it may be for you. I agree with others, worth thinking hard about first - and exploring other options. Just my thoughts.

You could DIY it for less, I recon 4k 2up for a mth Coast to coast. 2k flights and shipping rtn, fuel and hotels another 2k.
Going with Nick, personally I don't want too............so its a good thing I'm busy and slightly envious
