The first bike I can recall with something like "adventure' as a model name was the Triumph TR5T Adventurer, also sold as the Trophy Trail.

It had a 500cc single carb twin pot engine and used the rolling chassis of the BSA Victor Trail single.

There was no associated marketing hype, but I always liked the look of it...apart form the silencer

I class myself as an adventure bike rider quite simply because I want to and don't give a toss whether other people agree or disagree.

It all revolves around the difference between the thread title and the word people keep inserting into that title...... :-) It must be an unconscious process..... (Y)

Have just seen the weather forecast.

I am definitely not going to be an Adventure Rider this weekend.

Bet the forum is busy on Sunday....

Heading south Sunday for a few weeks - off to Santander and then somewhere..... no idea where but somewhere.... :-) Does that make me adventurous?
