Nearly the same as the XT . . . but different. You got the military green one, or is that only available in the XC version?

All's well at this edge of the universe, having not long got back from 2 weeks riding in Europe (Stella) and the Galloway forest ride last weekend.

Not @ Ulllapool this year, so maybe bump into you at Shirlaws or Ecosse some time.

Got the new colour white/graphite - never thought I'd buy a white bike but its quite subtle. Heading over to the west coast tomorrow on it for a nights camping. Escorting the wife and kids to Ullapool to get the ferry and then probably up to Lochinver - remember the pies?!!

I liked/like them both. The Triumph engine is stonking, sounds great and pulls like a train in any gear but the XT engine has a little more "character" . I think the Tex is slightly comfier for me as the seat is a little softer and the the bars a bit wider. The XT linked brakes have a better feel in operation, but the Tex's are stronger. Handling wise, I liked the solidity of the XT, the TEX is a little sportier although not as adjustable. Its good having cruise control on the Tex and cast wheels of course as the spokes were a pain to keep clean on the XT. In short, they're both great bikes but the Tex suits me better.

Cheers,

Mike
