Breakfast meet AV8 Cafe, Cotswold Airport 14th July 2013 - Review

Well this was my first proper attempt at organising anything in the bike world and I would like to think it was a success. As DaveC mentioned it is the first event where twice as many people expected turned up and what a nice feeling that was.

The sun was shining and all the roads I travelled on were enjoyed, I was in a car due to the bike issues, and think I had more fun on some of those roads than I would've had on the knobblies.

I arrived just before half 9 and was greeted by a large number of bikes already from all over the points of a compass

I'd say about 25 bikes in total with the Versys.co.uk forum contributing the most as this was a joint posted meet between ABR and Versys.co.uk. I was the only representative from the Kawasaki Riders Club





We finally went inside and took over half the cafe up, good food, hot coffee and not so cold soft drinks. Food was reasonably priced for the baps but think a full english was a tad too pricey.



The table in the top right had a reserved sign on and think this was for us but the staff knew nothing!!

Anyway I hope all those who came along to support my meeting were pleased with the venue and if another one is wanted I shall look at organising some alternatives.

Top morning nd great singletrack ride there nback got to carried away and forgot fotos on return trip will have to do a repeat for fotos

I can only copy what everyone else has said really! It was a shock to see so many people turn up! John it was great to finally meet you and yes we do need to explore some local green lanes now I don't have to concentrate on my road riding so much! Maybe next meet should involve the fosse way maybe??
