My only gripe is the fact the factory museum was closed when I went to visit in 2009

Correct and I go back to my point aboout falling off. EW hits a pedestrian or something similar in the London traffic, falls off then breaks his foot

Defects from what exactly? I'm confused, no one owns him and he can do what he likes like the rest of us.

Not my scene but nice looking bike, great photography, lucky git....

And yes he has been into guzzi and Harley for as long as he's been into sbk, and bikes in general.

Ewan was riding an old Guzzi Le Mans before he was in Trainspotting, and has had a few that I know of since, so hardly jumping ship or cashing in really.

I just don't get all the Ewan and Charley bashing that pops up all over the internet. Both of them had been into bikes for years before LWR. How many of us could honestly put our hand up and say we wouldn't go round the world on a bike with all expenses paid. I don't see much difference between that and someone who signs up to a full on Globebusters tour.

A quick poll of this site to see who has never fallen off or worse still had a ;pedestrian run out into them might give your post soem value,...meanwhile EM has done more for the image of Motorcyclists ( especially adventuring ones) than just about any other current film/media star.... seems a shame that there is so much bitterness just because he got to do what most of would love to do but cant afford......... :(

Ewan McGregor, already a rich and highly successful film star that has also got to do TWO fantastic motorcycle trips of a lifetime AND was paid handsomely for it. Now he's paid even more filthy lucre for a photo shoot with his favourite brand of bike.

Good to see people aren't bitter about his success :woohoo:

his first bike was a guzzi, i think that le mans mentioned earlier.

why does any post to do with ewan or charlie degenerate into some sort of jealous raving?
so EM is making ends meet by pushing aftershave and now guzzis? CB whores himself a lot more with those naff "by any means" shows and good luck to the pair of them, great work if you can get it!
nobody slagged keira knightley off for doing chanel ads on a ducati, bolted to a trailer!

now i wonder why that was........

 I saw the title and thought "That's a bit mean, who want's their defects pointing out on a forum" then I realised it was about a supposed switch of allegiance from and bike manufacturer to another....
