After spending many cold hours on my back strippig down the Shadow 600 to fit led underlight to both the front and rear mudguards, and engine, i've just been told that I could be done for impersonating emergency vehicles
the lights i got were for making it more visible at night from the sides as it is black, the colour of the lights are blue. u cannot see the lights themselves just the glow from them. I have attached a photo at night time of the bike.
Does anyone have any experience of this? I have read up some regulations etc but it is not clear.

Re: Motorbike led lights
You could either just ride as normal and if you get stopped take the hit, or hopefully act on advice given (thats if it is illegal)
Or take yourself down to your local cop shop and ask for peace of mind.

Re: Motorbike led lights
My money is on you getting booked for driving like that on the road!
I've fitted these white led spots to the front of my bike, you can see them from a long way off in all directions. They light the lanes up like day if I aim them forward. I currently have them aimed on the ground just in front of my front wheel. The reflected light off the tarmac is more than enough to be seen!

Re: Motorbike led lights
I may just pop into the local bobby nick and check!
Id rather it be legal and not get a fine or points etc
Apparently blue, green and red is not allowed. Red must be used on the rear, amber on sides and white on the front, and the bulbs cannot show, and it can only glow on the ground!? is this right?
Horsey biker, all my led lights cost 9 quid in total, those led lights are a bit out of my league! haha
Passed around 10 police cars tonight alone on my first ride out with them on, nothing was said or done, lets just hope they stick to thinking it looks nice!

Re: Motorbike led lights
If it's the same as the regs for the led lights the boy racers used to put under their cars, my understanding is that they can be used as show lights when the vehicle is stationary but are illegal to have illuminated when the vehicle is being driven.
Re: Motorbike led lights
Gulp! That's an awful amount of Blue Glow you got going on there. No way is that legal and sorry to say its only a matter if time before you get your collar felt mate.
Either wip it all out or don't ride at night would be my advise

I would mostly ride in daylight, when the lights actually look purple! just at night do they really look alive! I have seen other harleys with the led lights on. You cant see the lights themselves, just the glow from them. Any way around it to keep them on?
