why is it that a reply post just does not get uploaded?

Sometimes my posts do not appear?

This has happened ~ 30% of the time

This happens on replies and also on my own area (such as the Quest photos)

Frustrating to type something out and then lose it
I now copy every post before I hit submit (inc this one)

Best guess - and it can only be a guess on the info provided - is that perhaps your session times out while you are drafting your reply.

Do you take a while to draft? Or perhaps you get dragged away from the screen (by the phone or kids). After an unsuccessful submission what do you see? Are you still logged in? Is there an error message of any sort?

How are you submitting - from the website or via a mobile app?

Is the problem consistent - is it the same from a different computer, or in different browsers?

its more likely that you are attemptint to post at the same time as someone else. On some forums you get a message warning you and advising that you might like to revise you message but i dont think you get that on here

I have had the same problem with long posts. If I am in waffling mode I type my message in a word document and then copy and paste on the forum. I learnt my lesson the hard way.
