a cheap sheepskin "numnum" or "noonoo" or whatever goes between saddle and horse. to protect expensive horseflesh from bouncy ladyflesh i guess.

Thanks Lee, Maybe I can use them all, I wonder if anyone will beleive that I have ridden to Korea :cheer:
Also while I am on, I can't understand the sheepskin thing on saddles, never tried it, does it just give your bum more padding and what happens when it gets wet? Seriously.

Re:The must have accessory
I have a friend who has a tow bar fitted to her Hinkley Bonneville . The trailer can be converted between a general purpose box on wheels for carting round shopping or rally stuff , and by changing the lid to one with a ventilated perspex bubble it becomes a mobile kennel.MidnightSerenity wrote: Has anyone seen those little 'boxes' that sit infront of the rider on a motorbike for little dogs?! I saw a couple on their bike with their doggie on board...is that allowed?

Re: The must have accessory
First thing that I will get for any bikes I buy from now onwards is some T.L.C. I'll take as much of it as I can to pieces and see what needs replacing, where all the badness lives and replace the battery come winter-time (jump started my old hornet so many times the first winter I had it!). Its currently the thing I am doing to my bandit, even though I've had it since June it is still the first thing I have done to it.
I used to take my new bikes to a garage to get them to do a big service and check everything over, but leaps of faith are no longer my thing. Haynes/Clymer manual is part of this so I suppose one of those books is probably the first thing I buy actually.

Sheepskin is next on the list I think.
Did a trip round wales back in Oct and the final day was over 350 miles – first time my arse suffered from Tenere stock seat. It wasn't too bad but it made me realise I'll need a helping hand this coming year on days over 350.
As I understand it, you put a piece of dead sheep on the saddle then witchcraft happens and your bum doesn't go numb any more. Of course it might be a bit of a myth, but I'm willing to give it a try.
I found an ebay shop (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Amaising-maisie-leathers) that looks to do smallish off-cuts – not too pricy either.

In June this year I undertook the whole Nature Rally in one trip, in aid of Riders for Health
