As for the Eastcoast ban.
The last post I saw from East coast was in the riding in France thread that has been locked and had the posts removed.
The post was was just a rant not in the best interest of the thread or forum.

I don't think that would have got him/her banned though so it must have been a reaction to the thread being locked that caused banned. :unsure:

I tend to ignore any comments that are said as like text's sometime you cannot read quite what intent the write was trying to portray. Some time people are ass 'ole's and it's easy to have a pop on the interweb when your 100 miles up the road, I often wonder how much of the bad banter would be said if people were face to face.

I am not the best writist in the world and there are a couple of people on here who are challenged when they write, I personally think these people are very brave to put themselves up to ridicule but they do and they contribute a lot although on occasion people have had a pop at them.

There are others on here who are very knowledgeable technically and contribute a lot, others who have been ABR'ing even before the word was invented, others who write to much :whistle: and others who don't write enough BUT! at the end of the day it is up to the individual as to whether they choose to read a thread retaliate or ignore it, or even continue to read. I tend to not bother reading any particular threads that I find are going the "wrong way"

So please lets not ruin what has been given "FREELY"

i try and skim through every new post in the, say, top ten threads, just out of interest (and sheer nosiness!) i havent seen anything i would raise above 'heated discussion' into 'offensive' unless it was in that mentioned locked thread with deleted posts? E.C. Posts are a bit blunt but even the never trust a scot comment came across to me as meant as a laugh?

You have to take t'inters with a large pinch of salt, we all spout any old shite spelled ok or not, and everyone else needs to lighten up and not be so touchy. Lifes too short to get upset about a passing comment flicked off by someone at the other end of the country who you may never even meet.

Its a shame you feel you have to go mark, there has been too much of this bullshit in the last month or so, why cant we all just get along?

I have always found your posts helpful and some funny stuff that helps to lighten the forum , mark .

Your posts will be missed and I for one will miss your banter greatly.

Yes we are having a little bit of a rough patch at the moment but with the help of moderators / alun and all the regular members ,we can overcome this.. I am sure.

Just to make it clear that the decisions that have been made by Alun for the good of the forum and NOT based on a Karma Score or reported posts from any party. And these decisions are not only based on posts in the open forum but also messages received from these members. Sometimes things are said in the background in private to the moderators and usually these are the things that are decisive in considering a ban.

Hope you will reconsider , Mark .

All forums are open and you get some good mods and bad ones.I joined a football forum after following it for ages.Got a lifetime ban after posting about an ex player as the moderator hated him.I also Ukgser but dont post questions anymore as all you get is Use the search option. I cannot spell even though i have 2 english o levels ( showing my age) and i am liable to post the odd rant.I really liked this forum and there had been and is some excellent advice on here with very helpful members and up to now minimal moderator interference.
I have not read anything i would consider OTT and long may this continue.
Perhaps we should have a rants section. Post could be moved by the mods or if people want to sound off that would be the place.ie dont open the section if you dont want to see want rants are about. Just my 2 pence worth. I will stay with this forum and subscribe to the excellent mag and hope this doesnt go the way of other forums with jedi master type moderators/ contributors.
