As for passport details..maybe a photocopy would be fine and showing him the original too..or yep "difficult moment :cheer: " is it possible the camp site owner could give you a registration form they all use , then copy and email each of us or put on here as a pdf download..that way we can fill them in and hand over at arrival.

I dont do night trail rides as general but thought just in case we get waylaid on the trails taking the views etc...

RIDERS GROUPS-

As most people [excluding my large group] are arriving/departing at different times I`m sure the first night it`ll be all sorted out over a friendly beer or glass of vino as usually happens at ABR rally`s..
you have two camps often easily identified by bike tyres..ie road/trail the uk "trail" guys are getting to know each other better and with the stop at phils on route we will all get on like a house on fire :cheer: .

I understand the safety thing and riders all doing the same thing at once but there is enough choice so we dont cross "tracks " :unsure: .. as for knocking on tents at 8am..mine will be long empty :laugh:

Again, more useful points to clarify for everyone:

Passports, etc.: let's see what Jordi says, it's his system. He also has some large groups so I guess he knows what he wants to do. As you say, apart from the Raiders of the Apocalyse (or Riders of the Loast . . . :S ), most people will be arriving in drips and drabs anyway. The 'resgistration is no big deal, just saying 'Hello' and collecting your maps and guides.

Groups forming is probabaly best in the bar, as per ABR tradition by all accounts.

As for choice, yes there's loads of combinations: there are four 'routes', each of which can be taken backwards, the guides are written with this in mind, So that makes eight for starters.

Each route is traveresed by main roads or at least asphalt lanes at several intervals - in fact you have to take to the black stuff in varying degrees.

The main roads make it possible for groups of riders to start at several different points in a sort of a relay. Furthermore, the main roads are pretty fantastic in themselves and not only shoot off the map to strategic locations for fuel and fodder but also make it possible to mix-and-match between the 'routes' depending on the weather, which can change dramatically during the course of the day, but also the nature of the trails. Imagine an matchstick man hanging upside down, with the camping located where his b******s would be. These are the main roads and apart from his trunk or torso these roads are fantastic! Basically the routes hang from his extremities but also the middle. The Monster Map will explain all this in detail, but you can get an idea from the Trail rides map: the roads to look for are: the N260, C13, C1311, C1412.

Phew! Hope everyone understands that!

The camoing won't be busy at the weekend, although there are bound to be a few more folks. It's quite possible that we'll have the site tou ourselves much of the time. Apart from Posses of 4X4's forming funny little circles like wagn trains in the movies - I guess we'll be the Indians - especially with a dose of Phil's fire water!

Hi Phil, that's fine. I have no time problems apart from the days around the 17th.

That's good for Pol too as she disn't want to be lumbered with our home in Tarragin over the Easter weekend - it's soooooo heavy!

Maps collect on arrival, otherwise you're better off with UK map shops.

If anyone gets here and then wants a map there are several shops nearby who should have some in stock. I'll see if I can get a few sale-or-return too, but don't bank on these options.

Tommy, I've finally made a decision... I'll be in Northern France for the week before the rally so I could meet up with you and travel south.

Doctor says I should be OK provided I don't have anymore back outs in the mean time.. and he's prepared to give a few days release from the ward without supervision ...plus I should have my license back by then.

For them that are meeting at Phil’s I should be there as well on the day that you all get there, Just so I do not miss out on a day of playing!! . But I will have two vehicles I will be in a Mercedes Sprinter so you will all have a support vehicle on the trip to Spain and whilst in Spain . and the Old KTM 500 in the back for my fun as well .
So if any one wishes to dump there camping or other kit in the back for the ride to Spain I think it will be big enough lol
But should it be wet and cold It will only be me that will be enjoying the heater !!
